MapMarker USA - Features
Delivery Point Validation (DPV)
DPV enables a user to determine if a given address is truly deliverable or not. The DPV feature enables desktop users, as well as developers working with the API to determine if a given address is deliverable or not. DPV returns a simple Yes/No as to the existence of a given address.
DPV is only available to customers who license the full functionality of MapMarker Plus.
Street-Level Matching
Match address records containing street-style addresses against a search table of addresses and geographic (longitude and latitude) coordinates.
Geocoding with Other Criteria as Input
In addition to geocoding records with street style addressing, MapMarker Plus will geocode records containing Place Names (for example Sears Tower or Candlestick Park), Highway Exits, and airports using the abbreviated airport code (for example LAX for Los Angeles).
Display Streets
Ships with a street display layer for use with the geography you purchase. Customers requiring quality presentation street display are encouraged to purchase MapInfo® StreetPro®.
CASS Certification
Meets the U.S. Postal Service Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) 2004/2005 requirements for address standardization.
Single Address or Batch Geocoding
Choose to geocode one address at a time or batch geocoding for processing one or more tables without constant user interaction.
Address Dictionary
Data based on three sources of address and geographic information, all of which are updated quarterly:
- Address data from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS)
- ZIP + 4 Address data from the U.S. Postal Service
- Street Geometry and related information from Tele Atlas (TeleAtlas, Inc.)'s Dynamap/2000® file
- ZIP + 4 centroids from Tele Atlas (TeleAtlas, Inc.)
Custom Address Dictionary
Associate multiple cities to a single ZIP Code. Override or extend the address information provided in the Address Matching Dictionary with a MapInfo table containing your own spatial information.
Candidate Visualization
See where potential matches fall on a map before selecting a candidate.
Automatic and Interactive Geocoding
Runs in both automatic and interactive mode. Automatic mode may be used on the first pass to geocode most of the table. For unmatched records, interactive mode may be used to individually choose the best match from a list of suggestions.
Quick Geocode
For geocoding without all the setup, the Quick geocode button allows you to click and go. The table will be geocoded with the current preferences without displaying the Geocode dialog.
Result Codes
MapMarker Plus returns result codes for each record it attempts to match so you can see whether a match was made and how precisely each address component matched.
